My Sweet Angel! in Memory of
 Mr. Wint
March 1991 - February 22, 2001

He came into my life on the Monday of Labor Day long  weekend 1991. Just a kitten... I guessed he was born sometime around March of the same year. He was cute, and was he hungry. I took him in and fed him, much to the disdain of my other two cats, Grover and Wizard and my dog Ember who thought there were too many scary cats already. I really had no intention of keeping him and tried to find his rightful owners but before too long, we belonged to each other. He loved me and I loved him. Over the years we were always together. Sewing, watching TV and just hanging out. He slept on my spare pillow and made little grunting noises in his sleep. He made me giggle every day. He was the most doglike cat ever there was. As you ca n see from this pictorial Mr. Wint loved to eat. We tried many things over the years to get the weight off, to no avail. On Tuesday, Feb. 20th he didn't seem like himself. I took him to the vet where we found out (the next day) he was probably suffering from Diabetes. The next day I took him to the clinic for fluid therapy, as some of his levels have fallen grievously low. When I visited him at suppertime he was his old perky self. Every time I said his name he meowed hello. We sat for a while he purred and butted me with his head. He really looked and acted so much better, only, it wasn't meant to be. On Thursday AM the Vet called to say he had taken a turn for the worse. They were having difficulty locating the source of his problem. Then around noon David and I rushed to be with him. He was having great difficulty breathing and was on oxygen. The Vet didn't think he could make it to the Emergency clinic (neither did I) so we helped our little buddy Wint to go over the Rainbow Bridge. We miss you little buddy....
